Japanese Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers : (JASRAC) Established in November 18, 1939, as a a non-profit organization, JASRAC is a performing and mechanical rights society that represents its members by licensing, collecting royalties from users of music in Japan, and distributing such royalties of the copyrighted works among its members. Japan Association of Professional Recording Studios: (JAPRS) Established in 1989 by 49 recording studios in Japan, its mission is to foster a development of the music industry as well as recording environments in Japan and to improve musical culture through corporation and interactions with foreign organizations.
